Following a period of strategic review in the Autumn 2024, CBAT trustees identified that our four schools, Berkeley Primary, Callowell Primary, Cam Woodfield Junior School, and Marling School would benefit from being part of a larger network of schools, with greater school improvement and operational capacity.
Since the summer term of 2025, all CBAT schools have been working in formal partnership with Lift Schools, benefiting from strong school improvement support. Following the completion of our public stakeholder consultation last month, we submitted an application to the Department for Education (DfE) for CBAT to merge with Lift Schools.
We are pleased to share that the DfE has now approved our application for merger. We are now working closely with the DfE, the team at Lift Schools, and other key partners as we prepare for the schools to transfer to Lift Schools on 01 September 2026.
